As I am typing this, our littlest is three years old, now. The older munchkins are almost 8 & 10 and it seems like just yesterday that I was writing about preschool for them. Time flies when you are having fun!
I’m planning to work my way through the alphabet, like I did before, and post what I have found as resources for you to see.
I like to start the day with an alphabet song and then end it with another. I try to find videos that vary in style and tune and presenter.
Letter A Videos
There are so many different letter videos available online. Some of them focus on the name of the letter and others on the sound of the letter.
I tend to watch a video, then do an activity or snack and then watch another video, etc. Here are some of my favorites:
Duplo Alphabet Mats by 123 Homeschool 4 Me are also fun.
We enjoy the Printable Letter A Craft – A is for Alligator, by Fun with Mama She lists all materials necessary and includes a printable guide.
Another adorable craft is Ants on Apples from Kidz Activities
A classic throwback art project is Apple Stamping. The Measured Mom has a wonderful page, giving instructions on this activity.
Robot Snack by See Vanessa Craft is super cute. It is made with apple sauce and apple juice containers (sticking with the A theme, for us) with raisin box feet and cute googly eyes. The raisins can be used to make ants on a plate!
Some wonderful tools are available on Amazon for snack time.
